What is Church Membership?
The essence of Membership is belonging. In Christ, you are a part of a new family. Together, we are members of God’s household (Ephesians 2:19) and called to joyfully submit to Scripture, sacrificially participate, give our resources, and minister in a particular place within the church. If a church is healthy, each member does its part well—committed and well-equipped to do the works of service that God has prepared in advance (Ephesians 2:10, 4:12).

Membership at Portico
We believe that healthy church membership is an expression of a healthy church culture. Perhaps you are interested or curious about membership, but not ready to take our Foundations class.
