Summer Family Nights

2026 is Portico's Year of GO and we are pressing into what it means to be a church that doesn't just gather — but sends. This year’s Summer Family Nights theme — GO: Loving God, Loving Others — is anchored in John 13:34-35, where Jesus calls his disciples to love one another as he has loved them, and promises that this love will be the mark by which the world knows they belong to him.

The Four Spheres
Each of the four Summer Family Nights will focus on one sphere of influence where every person at Portico already has a presence and a platform:

• Week 1 — Church: How do we love and witness to one another, to those exploring faith, and to those we serve through ministry?
  

• Week 2 — Family: How do we hold the gospel before the people closest to us — spouses, children, siblings, parents — especially when it's complicated?
  

• Week 3 — Workplace: What does faithful, winsome witness look like where we spend most of our waking hours?
  

• Week 4 — Community: Who has God placed next door, down the street, or across the hall — and are we paying attention?

Adult teaching will consist of 30 minutes of teaching and 30 minutes of facilitated table discussions. 

STUDENTS (6th-12 grade) have the option of participating in the adult study or volunteering with Kids.

KIDS will be learning about the Good Shepherd and Psalm 23 through a summer VBS program.

BABIES/TODDLERS will have an engaging hour of free play/childcare

SUMMER FAMILY NIGHTS SCHEDULE
Tuesdays
July 7th-July 28th
5:15-5:45pm - Doors Open
5:45-6:20pm - Dinner (families eat together)
6:20-6:30pm - Transition (Kids head back to PK)
6:30-7:30pm - Teaching

The adult teaching will be recorded so that if you miss a week due to illness or travel, you can stay caught up!

We are asking all adults to volunteer either once or twice in kids or in tear-down or hospitality. We will send out more information about this.

It's really important to register, so that we can plan for dinner and the Kids program. 

Portico will provide dinner each week, but we are asking for a recommended (yet completely optional!) donation of $5/per person per week (with a cap of $20/per family per week). We'll also have onsite giving available. This is appreciated, but NOT required!

This year we are offering a t-shirt for purchase! This is completely optional! T-shirts are $10 each and available in the following sizes: 3/6M onesie, 6/12M onesie, 12/18M onesie, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5T, YS, YM, YL, YXL, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL

Form must be completed by June 23rd for t-shirts!
