MARK CAMPBELL

Having moved around as a child as the son of an Air Force officer, Mark found Jesus at the age of nine, but truly discovered the depth of God's grace during his high school years in Northern Virginia. After attending James Madison University as a Communications major, he remained in Harrisonburg to serve as Pastor of Youth at Harrisonburg Baptist Church. In 2005, he moved to Charlottesville to serve as Worship Pastor at Portico Church. He served in this role until summer 2007, when he took on the role of Pastor of Discipleship.

In his current role, Mark is responsible for many vital ministries. Overseeing the investorship [membership] process, he regularly teaches the Gospel Class. Under Mark’s leadership, Portico’s community group ministry has grown by 400% over the year, as he raises up and trains new leaders from among the investors. In addition, Mark develops and oversees all adult education offerings at Portico, including Women's Ministry, Crown Financial services, among other discipleship initiatives. Mark is a talented video producer and editor, having produced countless videos seen regularly at Portico. Starting in March of 2009, Mark will began serving as head of Portico’s youth ministry, Connect. He has a passion for the local church and for church planting.

Mark and his wife Jaime have been married since 2003. They have one daughter, Grace, and expect a son in June 2009.
